Goverdhan Parikrama Round Trip
Goverdhan is a sacred hill located in the Braj region of India (Between Delhi and Agra) and is the Majestic hill that lord Krishna lifted about 5000 years back on his fingers to provide local people a shelter against the excessive rains in this region. Thousands of pilgrims every day walk around barefooted around this mountain (22 kms, 6, 7 hours by foot) to seek its blessings. One can also go around this mountain on an Electric Rickshaw (3-4 hours) . Lord Krishna by his miraculous power is believed to have brought all the Teerthas (Pilgrimage Places) of the earth in the area spreading around this sacred mountain, so a circular journey around the Goverdhan Hill is believed to be an all encompassing pilgrimage.
