AdiKailash is the abode of lord Shiva and MataParvati. One of the Panch Kailash according to Hindu mythology. It is land of peace and serenity. Mount AdiKailash is located in the Vyas valley and Darma valley of Pithoragarh district of Kumaon. Trip summary :
Day 01– Arrival at Kathgodam railway station, Haldwani then drive to Pithoragarh via Almora, on the way visit Jageshwar Temple of lord shiva, collection of 7th – 12th century lord shiva’s temples (approx. 6hrs drive). Check in the hotel for overnight stay at Pithoragarh.
Day 02-Pithoragarh to Dugtu (approx. 8hrs drive), on the way visit panoramic view of Indo Nepal and Himalayan culture. Overnight stay at Dugtu village.
Day 03-Dugtu village to Panchachuli zero point (approx. 5hrs drive), explore the energy of great Himalayas, You can see lots of Himalayan fauna and flora, take unforgettable experience of high altitude and back to Dugtu village for overnight stay.
Day 04-Dugtu village to Narayan swami Ashram (approx. 5hrs drive). Narayan Ashram is spiritual cum socio educational center, it’s situated in approx. 9000 feet elevation. It’s a perfect place for meditation and self-exploration. Overnight stay at Naryan Ashram.
Day 05– Narayan Ashram to Gunji Village via Dharchulla (approx. 7hrs drive). On the way visit panoramic view of Indo-Nepal border. Here you can feel the majestic aura of natural climate as entire journey will go through the Himalayan mix forest and hills above floating clouds. Overnight stay at Gunji Village.
Day 06-Gunji village to Navhidhang for Om Parvatdarshan (approx. 4hrs drive). At Gunji you can realize the fabulous architect of Mother Nature in the form of explored Himalayas which give you the feeling that how close you are with Lord Shiva and their home AdiKailash, then back to Kalapani / Gunji village for overnight stay.
Day 07-Gunji village to Kuti village (approx. 4hrs drive). Here at Kuti you will see some remains of the oldest civilization and people who are living through these values the Rangs / Shaukas their culture and amazing view of Himalayas. Overnight stay at Kuti village (altitude 12500 feet).
Day 08-Kuti Village to AdiKailash, Jeolingkong, ParvatisarovarParikarma altitude 16000 feet (approx. 4hrs drive+ 4kms trek). On the way to AdiKailash and Jeolingkong you can see the camps of most devotee person’s i.e soldiers of Indian Army. You can feel their sacrifices and satisfaction. At ParvatiSarovar after doing parikrama we return back to Kuti/Gunji village for overnight stay.
Day 09-Kuti/Gunji Village to Chaokori (approx. 9hrs drive). On the way to Chaokari you can see remains of Pal Dynasty forts and enjoy famous local snack called ( OglaNamkeen ). After that check in the hotel at Chaokori for overnight stay.
Day 10-Chaokori to Kathgodam railway station. On the way you will visit PatalBhuvneshwar Cave one of the mysterious place in the earth beyond explanation of science.
After reaching Kathgodam catch your train for yours onward journey with a feeling in your heart that “You just visited heaven and got Lord Shiva’s blessing”. Trip end here

Complete Research: The first step is the most important one as 100 things can go wrong during your trip and you have to be ready to handle each and every situation. So much make a complete research like want kind of where is there, if you have carry cutlery or not, type of stay many other thing.
Test your fitness: In a journey there are many points where you feel sick so much be always be prepared for every situation during trekking you always have to prepared for freezing cold, acute mountain sickness. There are some place where there is shortage of oxygen at such a great heights will test your limit, time to prove how fit you are. You need lot of energy required at the time of trekking if you feeling now you can’t handle all the things need not to think like this be mentally prepared also I would recommend you to do some stamina building activities.
Number of days: Take some extra days as you can’t believe on weather as any time you can face landslides, heavy rainfall uncertain climate change and you have to stay there only without any option. So take some extra days also don’t forget to have day offat some place to celebrate your success, Cheer up as its dream which comes true.

- Don’t take any shortcuts since that may cause you & others lot of trouble
- Don’t take alcoholic drinks, this can be cause of serious accident
- Don’t smoke, this too can cause Jungle fires as well as animals will run away due to strong smell
- Don’t wear flashy cloths, put ones which matches natural colors
