Jaipur is known as the Pink City of India and is also the first planned city of India and credit goes to its great founder Sawai Jai Singh, who was himself a great Town planner and astronomer. Jaipur is known as the Pink city of India, because of beautiful terracotta color of its walled city. This city is an exuberance of colours, festivals and traditional arts and crafts. Jaipur is home to a number of astonishing ancient Temples, forts and palaces. The walled city is divided into nine rectangular blocks corresponding to nine planets of our solar system and makes this town a replica of our solar system on the Earth. Jaipur’s walled city can best be explored on A cycle Rickshaw, which goes slowly and can conveniently pass through the narrow lanes, where it is impossible to reach by cars or buses.Pink City’s main attractions Shri Govind Dev ji Temple ( largest and the most lively Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Krishna), Hawa-Mahal ( The palace of winds ) City Palace Museum ( Modern Royal Palace) and Jantar- Mantar (The astronomical observatory) ate located quite close to each other and can be easily approached with Cycle Rickshaw.
